The Silver Nutmeg was founded by Susan Penny in February 1999 and is the last remaining upmarket, independent gift shop in the city.
Susan originally hails from Newport, Rhode Island where the pineapple has long been used as a symbol of welcome - which is why it appears on Silver Nutmeg bags.
Customers often describe the shop as being a veritable 'treasure trove' of gifts and cards.
